1. Abstract 1.1. Background: Cavernous transformation of the portal vein (CTPV) is often associated with portal hypertension and varicose bleeding. Endoscopic treatments (ETs) and transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS) can prevent rebleeding in patients with CTPV.
