Network Meta-Analysis of Hepatic Arterial Infusion Versus Selective Internal Radiation Therapy for Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastasis

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: Colorectal cancer liver metastases (CRLM) that cannot be surgically removed are often addressed locally with Hepatic Arterial Infusion (HAI) or Selective Internal Radiation Therapy (SIRT). This study used Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) to assess the differences in survival between patients treated with HAI or SIRT for CRLM.

Hepcidin, Ferroportin and Hephaestin Levels in Inflammatory Bowel Disease; Are they Key Mediators of Anemia or Inflammation?

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: Anemia represents a significant problem in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and diagnosis may be challenging due to inflammation. Hepcidin, ferroportin and hephaestin are novel Iron Regulatory Proteins (IRPs) involved in iron metabolism. This study aimed to identify the interactions of these proteins in IBD patients, guiding safe iron supplementation and effective …

High-Throughput Uplc-G2si-Hdms Based Discovery of the Effective Constituents of Yindan Pinggan Capsule Against Yang Huang Syndrome

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: Yindan Pinggan Capsule, a patent Chinese medicine, has a definite effect on Yang Huang syndrome. At present, the pharmacological activity and quality control of Yindan Pinggan Capsule have been studied, but its effective constituents on the treatment of Yang Huang syndrome are still unclear.

BCHE As A Prognostic Biomarker For Stomach Adenocarcinoma And Correlates With Immune Cells Infiltration

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: Bcylcholinesterase (BCHE) is a nonspecific esterase synthesized by the liver that promotes cell proliferation and differentiation. Several studies suggested that BCHE is related to the occurrence and development of some tumors. However, the expression of BCHE in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) and its regulatory mechanism remains elusive.

Comparable Outcomes of Uncovered Metallic Stents and Partially Covered Metallic Stents in Malignant Distal Duodenal Obstruction

1. Abstract 1.1. Background/Purpose: Endoscopic management with self-expandable metallic stents (SEMSs) for advanced malignant gastroduodenal obstruction is widely used, however stenting in patients with malignant distal duodenal obstruction (MDDO) is challenging because of the length and flexibility of the endoscope, the curved configuration of the duodenal C-loop, and the angle of the duodenojejunal flexure. Studies …

Clinical Predictive Value of CD-DST for the Efficacy of Postoperative XELOX Adjuvant Chemotherapy in Advanced Gastric Adenocarcinoma

1. Abstract 1.1. Introduction: Anticancer drug insensitivity/resistance is a bottleneck in the treatment of gastric cancer. To overcome this challenge, we evaluated the clinical utility of an in-vitro collagen gel droplet embedded culture drug sensitivity test (CD-DST) using patient-derived gastric cancer tissues for personalized treatment guidance. 1.2. Methods: We collected the surgically removed fresh tumor …

Tele Counseling -Effective Strategy for Blood Donors with Chronic Hepatitis B and C

1. Abstract 1.1. Background: The blood is a life saving component which cannot be produced but has to donated by healthy donors. In view of high Seroprevalence of transfusion-transmitted infectious diseases such as HIV, hepatitis B virus (HBV), hepatitis C virus (HCV) and syphilis in India which affects the safety of blood for recipients, mandatory …
